Good managers are overlooked for the wrong reason: format.
Allocators screen on structure. When your strategy, fund history and evidence sit in a deck rather than a comparable record, you are read last — or not at all.
Visibility without solicitation.
Your record is discoverable by institutions screening the market. FundIQ never markets your fund, contacts investors on your behalf, or takes a placement fee.
Control over the facts.
Claimed records let you correct strategy, fund history, team and geography through a reviewed change process, with an audit trail behind every update.
What a claimed record gives you.
Claiming is free. Nothing is published without your review, and payment never affects inclusion, ordering or review status.
Visibility without solicitation
Your profile is discoverable by Japanese institutions screening the market. FundIQ never markets your fund, contacts investors on your behalf, or takes a placement fee.
Control over the facts
Claimed profiles let you correct strategy, fund history, team and geography through a reviewed change process, with an audit trail behind every update.
A format LPs already read
Every profile uses the same fields — including Net IRR, MOIC, TVPI and DPI per fund — so allocators can compare your firm against peers without asking you to re-format materials.
Clear provenance
Profiles state whether information came from public sources or from you. Manager-provided information is labelled as such — nothing is presented as independently verified when it is not.
Process
From public record to claimed record.
- 01
Find your firm
Most managers already have a public-information record in the directory. Search the directory and open the profile that belongs to your firm.
- 02
Verify authority
Submit a claim from a corporate email domain with your role and authorization details. Our reviewers confirm you can speak for the firm.
- 03
Complete the record
Upload documents into your workspace. FundIQ reads each file, ticks it off the institutional checklist, and shows what is still outstanding.
- 04
Stay current
Submit corrections whenever facts change. Each accepted change is versioned, dated, and reflected on the public profile with its review date.
Manager workspace
Your materials stay yours.
Claiming a record opens a private workspace. It is where documents are held, read and turned into a draft you approve — not a publishing pipeline that runs without you.
Private by default
Every document you upload stays private to your workspace. Nothing becomes visible to an allocator until you share it into a controlled package, and each access is logged.
Materials read for you
PPMs, DDQs, decks, track records and quarterly reports are matched to the institutional checklist automatically, so you can see what is complete and what is outstanding.
Review before publication
Extracted values arrive as a draft you edit and confirm. Nothing scraped or extracted is published to your record without an explicit human decision.
Versioned history
Corrections are versioned and dated rather than overwritten, so an allocator can see when a figure changed and on what basis.
Questions managers ask first.
- Does claiming cost anything?
- No. Claiming a profile, correcting information and maintaining your record are free. Optional readiness reviews are a separate paid service and never affect directory ordering.
- Who can see my documents?
- Nothing you upload is public by default. Documents stay in your workspace until you share them into a controlled package for a specific institution, and every access is logged.
- Is performance data verified?
- Performance figures are shown as manager-provided and dated. FundIQ checks internal consistency against public sources but does not audit returns, and the label always says so.
- Does this count as solicitation in Japan?
- No. FundIQ publishes structured information only. We do not place funds, make introductions on commission, or market on your behalf.
FundIQ does not conduct placement, brokerage or solicitation activity, and does not rate, certify or recommend managers or funds.
