About

Why FundIQ exists

FundIQ is information-management infrastructure for cross-border private markets, built around how Japanese institutions actually screen managers.

Japanese institutions allocate to private markets at scale, but the information they need to screen managers arrives in fragments: firm websites, PDFs, spreadsheets, intermediaries and email threads, each formatted differently and each dated differently.

Managers face the mirror image of that problem. A firm with a strong track record can be invisible to a Japanese allocator simply because its information has never been organized into the structure that allocator screens with.

FundIQ closes that gap on the information layer only. We do not introduce managers to investors, we do not raise capital, and we do not rate anyone. We organize what is publicly known, let managers correct and extend it under review, and label the provenance of everything shown.

Structure over persuasion

We organize information into the same fields for every manager. We do not write marketing copy, and we do not present opinion as fact.

Provenance is part of the data

Every profile states where its information came from and when it was last reviewed. Where we do not know something, the profile says so.

No paid placement

Search results are never influenced by payment. Manager services are separate from directory inclusion and ordering.

Institutional caution by default

We would rather show less and label it precisely than show more and imply verification we have not performed.

  3. Later

Institutional workspaces with shared screening notes, and structured document rooms controlled by the manager.

FundIQ provides information-management infrastructure. It does not provide investment, legal, tax or regulatory advice; rate, certify or recommend managers or funds; conduct placement, brokerage or solicitation activity; or replace independent institutional diligence. Profiles may include information derived from public sources and information submitted by manager representatives. Users remain responsible for independently confirming all information before making an investment or commercial decision.
